First, I would like to thank the many, many individuals for their participation for a job well done this past Saturday at the Bus Safety Competition.
Centennial School District – Katie and Rose, great job for a last minute, first time set up. Also, thank you to the district for supplying both the breakfast and the lunch for everyone!
Jim Czyz – as always you come through with the tough job of pulling together the judges and the set up of the course. Every year you are a valuable asset to this event
Debbie Mack – give her a microphone and off she goes (although there is still a debate if she really needs the microphone!), she continually contributes her humor to a long day of announcing each contestant as they push their way through the course and with the set up and registration.
Rich Segal – our official score keeper, who has this down to a science. Your ability to come out with the totals so quickly and accurately is no small task. Also a thank you to your son, Hunter. We have watched him grow up from a runner collecting score sheets to the position of second in command as score keeper.
Marsh Wagner – although she was unable to attend the event, as always, she prepares the test and the brochure for the event.
Pete Matticola – our trophy specialist, we are fortunate to have so many of our members to rely on year after year. They take on a large task and make it seem simple. When you are able to pick up the phone and have no need to go into great detail of what is needed simply because they have done the task for so many years.
Bill Weghorst – our treasurer, what a great job with the finances. We had registrations coming in, lunch tickets, 50/50 tickets and door prize tickets all being sold at the same time. Several times on Saturday he was being pulled in several directions but never skipped a beat.
Judges – I would mention each individually but I would be afraid of missing someone. You know who you are; so please know each and everyone who contributed your time to any task on Saturday and leading up to the event, it is greatly appreciated.
Hopefully I covered everyone, this has never been a one man show. It takes many hours of planning and could not take place without the collective effort of the entire group. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Also, I would like to mention our corporate sponsors one more time:
M A Brightbill, Rohrer, Gross Equipment, Wolfington, First Student, and Council Rock SD were all financial contributors to the event.
Sincerely, Karen Henry
