A couple of questions for the group
Good morning all –
We are constantly looking to update the driver training program that we do for our drivers to make it more interesting and up to date. What DVD’s does your district use for your drivers? Do you have anything special that you do during your classes? (ie. bus driver jeopardy, use visual aids, guest speakers, etc.).
Any help would be appreciated!
I have two DVD’s from Peggy Burns that are interesting one is about liability and another one on harassment. Both DVD’s are excellent and really seem to get the drivers attention. We had many discussions after watching them. I would be more than happy to loan them to you to review.

I have used several DVDs and have had special ed staff come in and talk about types of special needs and strategies for intervention. For the upcoming school year, will be requiring some online trainings through GCN–defensive driving, medical needs, driver safety, first aid, bullying, behavioral interventions for students with disabilities, etc.
