PUPIL TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATION

“A Two County Cooperative Endeavor”

Dear Chief of Police:

The Montgomery-Bucks Pupil Transportation Association cordially invites you to join us as we host the 43rd Annual School Bus Safety Competition, also known as the Road-EO. This day- long event will be held this year at Willow Dale Elementary School on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 8:00 am until finish. Our competition proudly showcases the driving skills, professionalism and commitment to safety of school bus drivers from the 36 districts in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, as well as the contractors who service some of these districts. The drivers will demonstrate their talents in such areas as obstacle courses, railroad-crossing procedures, back up maneuvers, and turns and stops. The driving event will be preceded by a written test and walk around inspections of the test buses.

Our local police department partners can assist us with judging the various events. If you can spare an officer…or two…..we would really appreciate it!! We invite our driver’s families and co-workers to come out and cheer them on and each year our attendance at this exciting event has grown. In addition, we hope to have several representatives from the local media who will help us showcase the very best qualities of our school bus drivers…..their dedication, enthusiasm, camaraderie and genuine love of children and the jobs that they selflessly perform for our communities every day.
